BANGALORE: Nokia Nseries has unveiled 'My Connected Life', a new consumer concept aimed to leverage convergence between internet, PCs and consumer electronics by bringing all experiences into one mobile device and to offer comprehensive multimedia experiences on a unified platform, as part of its strategy to lead the mobile digital convergence wave.

It also showcased the Nokia N95, the convergence device with a two-way slide, 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, Global Positioning System, Wireless LAN and 3.5 G HSPDA technology. The N95 is slated for an early 2007 release in India, Nokia Nseries said in a statement.

Sharing Nokia Nseries' strategy to lead mobile digital convergence, Vineet Taneja, director, Multimedia, Nokia India said, “The demand for converged devices is growing at an exponential pace and the total volume of converged devices is expected to reach 100 million units in 2006 and 250 million units in 2008. Nokia's focus on technology innovation and maximizing the user experience, uniquely positions us to lead the mobile digital convergence space.”

Nokia Nseries also launched its special music and internet range multimedia devices including Nokia N70 Music Edition with 1 MB memory, Nokia N73 Music Edition with 2MB memory, Nokia N91 with 8GB memory and the N80 Internet Edition with embedded internet.

Highlighting Nokia's Nseries Music Connect, Taneja said, “Nokia believes that music is a very powerful way to connect with the Indian consumers at large. Music has the power to evoke memories and change moods. Our new Nokia Nseries music edition optimizes those personal experiences and makes them even more special. In 2005 alone, we sold close to 40 million music devices (that have an MP3 player) worldwide and we expect this number to grow significantly.”

Along with launching an array of multimedia devices and rich multimedia applications, Nokia Nseries said it will also strengthen its retail strategy to extend a complete mobile experience to its users. The company will be setting up exclusive 'Nokia Nseries Experience Zones' in over 10 malls this year and another 10 by 2007.

Additionally, exclusive Nokia Nseries experience zones will be established in over 600 Nokia outlets across the country.
