Bharti Telesoft has selected the company's Trillium SS7 software components to deliver stable, resilient and highly available VAS platforms to carriers in India and other emerging markets globally.

Continuous Computing Corporation is a provider of essential building blocks that enable telecom manufacturers to deploy converged voice, video and data

According to the press release, as a result of this partnership, Bharti Telesoft will integrate Continuous Computing's Trillium SS7 software into its VAS solutions. Trillium SS7 software, designed with Distributed Fault Tolerance and High Availability (DFT/HA) Architecture, enables Bharti Telesoft's high-performing VAS network solutions to meet scalability and mission critical availability requirements (99.999 percent uptime).

As the first step, Bharti Telesoft has integrated Trillium SS7 into its missed call alert application. Trillium's DFT/HA redundancy and switchover capabilities help protect Missed Call Alert against service loss during a fault. Furthermore, the real-time distribution capabilities offered by the DFT/HA implementation provide Bharti Telesoft's customers the flexibility to scale their platform deployments in line with subscriber growth.

"The Trillium SS7 solution with DFT/HA extensions enables us to meet the rigorous reliability and performance demands of our worldwide customer deployments," stated Bharti Telesoft CEO Sanjiv Mital. "Our partnership with Continuous Computing empowers us to deliver cost-effective VAS

platforms in regions such as India where teledensity is currently modest, yet expected to grow substantially during the next few years. This unique business opportunity offered by growing markets requires that we quickly deploy affordable solutions while differentiating on service features and

product quality. Continuous Computing's extensive product mix, local support team, and comprehensive integration services ensured the success of our project and helped cement our strong relationship with them," he added.
