Lingo, a voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) phone service launched in June, will offer its customers in US the facility to own an international telephone number (from 12 international cities currently) along its their broadband phone service. This will allow customers in the US to own international universal numbers along with their primary US number. Thus, people in the selected international cities would be able to call them by dialing the 'local' number or dialing national long distance to the selected city. The numbers have to be in addition to a primary US number, can only be used for receiving calls, and cost $9.95 a month for unlimited calls.
