BPL Mobile has introduced the caller ring back tone (CRBT) service in its Mumbai operations. Both its prepaid and post-paid subscribers can now assign the ring back tone instead of the normal ring tones.
Subscribers can activate this service and download ring back tones through SMS or by calling the customer care. There will be a nominal monthly charge for this service. BPL plans to market the CRBT service to its corporate clients as a tool for advertising or targeted delivery of their messages. Corporate availing of this service can preset the ring tone to customized jingles and other similar communiqué for the caller.
