Tata Teleservices and China Unicom have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for cooperation in the code division multiple access (CDMA) space.

The MoU signed by Tata Teleservices chairman FA Vandrevala and China Unicom chairman Wang Jianzhou at Mumbai is aimed at jointly developing applications on the CDMA platform that will help both the companies come out with more value-added services for their subscribers. It will also help both operators come out with innovative offerings.

The MoU will also help both companies offer international roaming services on each other's CDMA network with immediate effect.
