In the fiscal ending March, Hughes Software Systems (HSS) reported a net profit of Rs 77.4 crore against Rs 37.9 crore in the previous year, registering a growth of 104 percent over the previous quarter. Year-on-year, the company reported a growth of 63 percent with revenues of Rs 358.3 crore against Rs 220.4 crore in the previous year.
The company reported a net profit and revenue of Rs 21.2 crore and Rs 100.3 crore, respectively, for the quarter ending March-an increase of 54 percent and 57 percent respectively over the previous fiscal. The net profit and revenues in the fourth quarter of the previous fiscal was Rs 13.8 crore and Rs 63.7
crore.
The company sales during fourth quarter registered a growth of 7.8 percent in dollar terms. The sharp appreciation of rupee, during the quarter, by about four percent resulted in foreign exchange translation loss of Rs 256
lakh.
