Sify Sets Up 120 Wi-Fi Hotspots In Bangalore

Sify Ltd has set up 120 wireless hot spots in Bangalore, making it the country's first Wi-Fi enabled city. Sify has- branded hotspot locations as 'Sify WiZones ' - where users can avail of wireless Internet connectivity. The hotspots, including Sify's 'iWay' cyber cafes, have been set up at a cost of nearly Rs 50,000 per spot. In addition to the current 120 hotspots, the company plans to roll out many more in the next few months covering major hotels, restaurants, commercial buildings and corporate campuses in Bangalore and other cities.
