Ramco Systems, provider of secure converged enterprise networking solutions, has decided to start focusing more on the domestic call center business. The company currently has 20 contact center clients - all international which contribute around 30 percent of the overall revenue of the company.
Niranjan Delavictoire, Country Head- Sales Operations and Strategic Alliances, Ramco said, " Since the call center business is growing at a rapid speed because of financial and telecom revolution in India, we have decided to focus more on domestic call center business this year. We already have some big international call center clients but we want domestic call center business to contribute more in our revenues."
The company plans to provide a range of solutions to the contact centers that include enterprise infrastructure, IP based solutions and secured solutions and in this regard the company recently tied-up with US based e-talk to provide e-learning solutions in India, Malaysia and Singapore. On the financial front, the company is expecting around 40 percent to 50 percent contribution from the call center business this year. Last year, the company generated revenue of around $16 billion and is expecting a significant growth in revenue this year.
IDC has predicted that the offshore contact center market in India and Asia-Pacific would grow around 40 percent annually.
Additionally, research reports show a rising number of major Asia-Pacific corporations are implementing new e-commerce solutions and customer relationship management initiatives. Therefore, traditional call centers are experiencing rapid growth that requires integrating new technologies to help capture meaningful customer information.
