Trai has directed access providers (cellular/basic service providers) to make Internet access available to subscribers as per national numbering plan 2003. Trai was informed that Internet access code (172XXX) is not currently accessible from some of the cellular operators networks. The operators as per Trai’s directive, will have to provide access within next 45 days. This would enable cellular subscribers to access the Internet services of other operators.
