Bharti Duraline is a 50:50 JV between Bharti Group and Duraline Corp. based in the US. The company manufactures telecom duct, which acts as a protective measure for the cables, which are laid along with coaxial cables and fibre optic cables. Some of the products manufactured are solid lubricated silicone duct.

Last year was one of great success for the company. It netted a turnover of Rs 26.22 crore. Though the figure is not really very impressive, it becomes very significant considering that during 1998-99, it was only Rs 7.91 crore. That means, the company registered a growth of 231 percent over the previous fiscal.

The company has a manufacturing set up in Goa, which is ISO 9000 certified and has a capacity of 20,000 km.

Duraline, the US company with which Bharti has a tie up is the world largest supplier of diversified range of high density Polyethylene (HDPE) pipe, ducts and conduits used by the telecom, cable television, electrical power, water and natural gas industries.

The company also has the credit of being the developers of SILICORE, the world’s first duct co-extruded with a super slick permanent lining.
