Aircel will rollout pan India commercial services by June end. Aircel-a joint venture between Maxis Communications Berhad of Malaysia and Sindya Securities & Investments, whose current shareholders are the Reddy family of Apollo Hospitals Group of India-operates in eighteen circles so far.
“We will complete the rollout by the end of June,” said an official spokesperson of the company.
The company has presence in eighteen circles-including Chennai, Tamil Nadu, Assam, Northeast, Orissa, Bihar, Jammu&Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh, West Bengal, Kolkata, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttar Pradesh (East), Maharashtra & Goa and Mumbai. It would soon rollout services in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat.
The company has gained momentum in the space of telecom in India post the allocation of additional spectrum by the Department of Telecom for thirteen new circles across India. These include Delhi (metro), Mumbai (metro), Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Karnataka, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra & Goa, Rajasthan, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh (West) and Uttar Pradesh (East).
