Sandip Chadha, Managing Director, India & SAARC, CommScope Enterprise Solutions, passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest last night at the age of 49. As managing director in the company, Sandip was responsible for driving a multi-disciplinary strategy to serve business enterprises and expand regional business opportunities within the enterprise market in India, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. Previously, Sandip managed the Lucent Technologies' SYSTIMAX enterprise cabling business in India, and continued in the same role when Lucent spun off the SYSTIMAX business in 2000 as part of Avaya.
Ispran Kandasamy, VP & MD, Asia Pacific, CommScope Enterprise Solutions, expressed his heartfelt condolence saying, “Though Sandip was just over one year with us, he is a valued member of CommScope and will be very much missed by all of us. He was very much a loved member of CommScope India team and was very important for senior management team of CommScope, APAC. He was a people's person, and IT communities across India will miss him for his pleasing public personality.”
CommScope is yet to announce on who will be the next MD, and it is likely to be announced early next week.
