Aircel plans $5.5 bn network expansion

Aircel plans to spend $ 5.5 bn in the next five year to expand its network in India. “ India continues to offer high growth opportunities for us and we expect to aggressively grow our subscribers and presence.The spending plan may change depending on market conditions and will be funded through debt and equity. Aircel plans to start services next year in all of India's 23 circle, or coverage areas from 18 now,” said Sandip Das, CEO, Maxis Communications.
