Ucell Signs Contract with NSN

Ucell, mobile operator of Uzbekistan, has signed a contract with Nokia Siemens Networks to extend its core network capacity and keep control on costs. Under the contract, NSN will expand Ucell's existing core network and existing value added services platforms. It will install the latest mobile softswitching and packet core network technology, transport equipment , base station controller, home location registers, and media gateways. NSN will also extend Ucell's text messages and multimedia message centers, provide a voice and video mail solution and extend device management and service provisioning capability to enable the operator to provide quality service for its customers.
