BSNL has announced its partnership with Datacom to share its passive infrastructure. BSNL, for the first time, is sharing its infrastructure with another telecom service provider across the country. A separate infrastructure wing under new business group, which is marketing the passive infrastructure of BSNL, will aid existing and new operators in faster rollout of their network across the country which will facilitate an increase in teledensity, particularly in rural areas. Furthermore, BSNL is also offering bandwidth and connectivity to service providers to expand its network as well as for the purpose of interconnections.
