Handygo has tied up with the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) to
provide farmers with meteorological inputs through interactive voice response
and general packet radio service. Handygo has launched its service in twenty-one
districts of Punjab; twenty districts of Haryana; and now plans to focus on
twenty-one districts of Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, West Bengal and
Maharashtra. Farmers will receive not just weather forecast, but also advice on
agriculture inputs for various kinds of crops.
