BSNL is planning to set up and operate Internet data centers (IDCs) in
partnership with private players on a revenue-share basis. The company has
invited expression of interest from data center service providers, wherein all
capex shall be borne by the bidder in the BSNL covered space. It plans to have
centers in Jaipur, Ahmedabad, and Mumbai, and the northern cities of Faridabad,
Ghaziabad, and Ludhiana. There would also be such facilities in the southern
cities of Hyderabad, Ernakulam, Bengaluru, and in Ranchi.
