Huawei Technologies has launched the commercially-ready CDMA2000 1xEV-DO Revision B solution. The company claims that this CDMA network technology boosts wireless broadband speed by up to three times and helps operators substantially improve service quality without any additional investment in hardware and infrastructure. It supports a downlink rate of up to 9.3 Mbps and an uplink rate of up to 5.4 Mbps. With this operators will be able to deliver mobile broadband services in applications such as VoIP, video telephony, multi-media, and online gaming.
