AT&T to power Sumitomo Chemical's global network

Japanese Sumitomo Chemical has selected AT&T as its global communications provider. AT&T will help Sumitomo Chemical improve productivity, accelerate decision making and achieve cost reductions across worldwide operations.

Sumitomo Chemical supplies a wide range of products globally in its six business sectors: Basic Chemicals, Petrochemicals and Plastics, Fine Chemicals, IT-related Chemicals, Agricultural Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals.

Sumitomo Chemical has been expanding its operation globally and is undertaking a number of global business ventures, including the Rabigh Project for the construction and operation of a world-scale refining and petrochemical complex in Rabigh, Saudi Arabia. To keep pace with the growth, Sumitomo Chemical is moving to a consistent and global IT and communications policy, enabling the group to improve efficiency and productivity.
