The India development center of Hughes Systique is all set to
open up, as the Rockville, USA headquartered company and its Gurgaon-based
subsidiary have closed a fully funded financing with NextWave Wireless (a
wireless broadband development company) and SkyTerra Holdings (a wholly owned
subsidiary of SkyTerra Communications and a 50% owner of Hughes Network Systems)
for this purpose. The management of Hughes Systique will be led by Pradeep Kaul,
president and CEO; and Anil Sharma, executive vice president. In addition,
Pradman Kaul, chairman and CEO, Hughes Network Systems, will serve as the
non-executive chairman of Hughes Systique. The center will work in areas of
wireless broadband communications, wireless-based networking, RFID applications,
and broadband entertainment networks.
