While Vodafone has tied up with Taj Residency, Bengaluru for a V-day contest where its prepaid winners will get to brunch at the hotel, by recharging with a Bonus Card RC52 (Unlimited SMS pack), or activating a love song as their caller tune between February 9–12, BSNL is offering 20 per cent extra talk time on all its top-up recharge vouchers for its Maharashtra and Goa subscribers, from February 8-15.
While BSNL's offer can be used for all types of calls including local, STD, ISD, SMS and other VAS services, with facility for on-net and off-net calls and messages included, Bharti Airtel is offering unlimited free calls, both local and STD, for all its fixed line customers on V-day, and the next Sunday as well, as part of its 'Unlimited Sunday' offering. However, Airtel's service is available only between fixed line Airtel customers.
Announcing this service, Vikas Singh, CMO – Telemedia Services, Bharti Airtel said, “As one of the country's leading fixed line service providers, we are committed to delighting our customers through great customer service, value for money and superior calling experience. In keeping with this intent, we are happy to introduce Unlimited Sunday on the Valentine fortnight which will enable our customers to easily reach out to their friends and families on the Airtel fixed line network.”
Meanwhile, Tata DoCoMo has launched the '2gether' platform targeted at the youth segment, by which they will be able to send anonymous messages through e-mail or SMS to each other. Other VAS offerings by DoCoMo for V-day include romantic ringtones and love poems, among others.
And V-day offerings are not restricted to SPs alone.
