Inc is the latest US company to announce starting of its call center operations
in India. A subsidiary of US-based GTC Telecom, Perfexa will provide inbound
call center services with future plans for outbound services. The company has
chosen the Unitech Business Park in Gurgaon for locating the facility.
l US based BPO company
Sutherland Group, which has two delivery centers in Chennai, has announced
setting up of a Global Center for Excellence and a BPO Service Delivery Center
in KINFRA Park, Kochi, Kerala. The 20-acre facility will be completed within 36
months. Based in Rochester, New York, Sutherland has an employee strength of
over 5,000, with approximately 2,000 based in Chennai.
l Margate, Florida
based Global Response Corporation is the latest US-based call center services
company to open a facility in India. The company, specializing in automotive,
insurance and catalogue marketing, has decided to set up a 500-seat call center
in Gandhinagar’s Infocity. It is tying up with an Indian company, Creative
Infocity for the purpose. After Precision Response, that has outsourced some of
its services to Ahmedabad-based Motif, GRC, earlier known as CSC, is the second
such company to set up facility in Gujarat.
