In 1997, Indian rural telephony penetration got a significant boost when Qualcomm tied up with ITI to manufacture CDMA products. As the then president of Qualcomm's Wireless Infrastructure Operations in India, BA Majmudar was instrumental in introducing CDMA digital wireless technology and the Wireless Local Loop concept in India. QUALCOMM supplied and installed the first CDMAWLL network in India.

Prior to Qualcomm, Majmudar was at Nynex Mobile as the VP, Engineering. He was responsible for the network planning strategic direction for digital wireless deployment. He has also worked in AT&T Bell Labs. Majmudar's 26 years of extensive technology experience combined with his business exposure now helps eMids to provide better solutions and services to its customers.
