The brain behind Reliance's telecom venture

BDK as he is popularly known, is the operations brain behind the success of Reliance's telecom venture. Thanks to the success of Reliance, this has resulted in tremendous reduction of telecom tariff, which is the lowest in the world. He is also credited of having broken the public sector monopoly by setting up and steering Punjab Wireless Systems as the CEO. He also subsequently worked as the chairman and MD of Optel Telecommunications, which was one of the first companies to manufacture integrated optical transmissions systems under one roof. He also served as a director of DSC communications. Prior to joining Reliance, Khurana worked with Bharti Televentures as president, Networks. He is a graduate of IIT Delhi.
