Jagdeep Singh's company Infinera is to Intel what Juniper is to Cisco. The youngest son of a diplomat, Singh grew up in India and Jamaica before settling down in Washington, DC. His present company, Infinera built world's first all optical integrated circuit. According to him, one day most circuits will shine with photons rather than electrons. These chips will help telecom companies offer high speed Internet access. Other companies he found were Onfiber and Airsoft.

Previously at Lightera, Singh served as president and CEO and led the company from startup to a leadership position in the market for optical switching equipment. Singh holds an MS in computer science from Stanford University, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a BS in computer science from the University of Maryland. He is currently enrolled as a Sloan Fellow at the Graduate School of Business at Stanford University.
