Jayshree Ullal is credited with helping Cisco establish
itself in the LAN switching market from scratch. Besides, she was also actively
involved in Cisco's acquisition of Grand Junction, Granite Systems, Classic
Data and Selsius. Before joining Cisco, she was the VP, Marketing, Crescendo
Communications, a fiber distributed data interface copper switching venture,
which was acquired by Cisco. She received her bachelors degree in electrical
engineering from San Francisco University. Soon after that she joined Fairchild
Semiconductor. She has also worked with Ungermann-Bass and AMD.
