As a CEO of Hughes Telecom, Prakash Bajpai is credited for
creating India's first broadband network in Maharashtra and Goa. He also
successfully completed India's first IPO netting a whopping Rs 900 crores for
the company. He was closely involved in setting up telecom business of Tatas and
was instrumental in setting up their joint venture with AT&T.
An electronics engineer from Delhi College of Engineering,
Prakash started his career with IBM followed by Philips. In April of 2002, he
joined Reliance and currently drives the broadband business for the enterprise
and consumer sectors. He has graduated from in-house management programs
conducted by the AT&T School of Business Management.
