VOICE&DATA SAARC Telecom Innovation Awards

The SAARC V&D Telecom Innovation Awards are given to telecom operators in the South Asian region who excel in their respective countries’ telecom scenario.

The awardees will be chosen by the consumers of the various countries respectively through an online poll. The criteria for selecting the winners will be consumers’ perception of their satisfaction with the various brands. The criteria will be perception because perception of a brand is perhaps the true test of any business innovation. And the consumers ultimately behave according to how they perceive the company’s image.

Most Innovative Mobile Operators
These awards are given country wise to the companies that had the most innovative offerings for There is an award each for India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Most Innovative Handset Vendor Of The SAARC Region
This award will be given to the company that had the most innovative offerings for consumers.

Handset Vendor With The Most Consumer Pull In The SAARC Region
This award will be given to the company whose users are least likely to replace their handsets over the next three months.

Mobile Operator With The Most Consumer Pull
These awards are given country wise to the companies whose consumers are least likely to leave it in the next three months. There is an award each for India, Nepal, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka and Maldives.

Theme – Hippy Evening

In the sixties, hippy culture came to Kathmandu in a place called Freak Street now better known as hamel. Many young people from all over the world gathered here to form a small hippy community which was also joined by the local youths. The hippies of Kathmandu dressed in psychedelic colored clothes with long hair, bandanas, beads and hare rama scarves.

The hippy movement evolved and passed, yet it retains a charisma, a certain flavor for most people across nations.
